ColorSet Screening Tool Kit
 Monotype Imaging’s ColorSet™ Screening Tool Kit gives printer OEMs the ability to quickly build binary, multilevel, AM/FM hybrid and asymmetric–resolution halftone screens. Image quality is maximized on color devices such as low–resolution office printers and multifunction devices. Based on patented technologies developed by Agfa Corporation for the graphic arts market, the tools let you correct, eliminate and diffuse visible artifacts that can otherwise result from the printing process.
Our screening technologies offer high–end quality to low–resolution office devices with maximum resolutions that are typically 600 dots per inch. Using the tools, color balance shifts due to registration error are lessened dramatically, color gamut is optimized, neutral balance is stabilized, jaggedness and subject moiré are diffused, banding and tone jumps are minimized, and rainbow effects are eliminated. Monotype Imaging’s screening technology is designed to produce consistency in image quality within a page, from page–to–page, over time and across different devices.

AM/FM hybrid screens – Allows for stable reproduction in highlights by using FM dot – particularly useful for multilevel laser devices and MFPs.
Line screen spot function – Allows for the use of both FM dots for stable highlights and line screens for stable midtones.
FMSTOP – Provides smooth FM to AM transitions.
